Arendal Fotball inngår samarbeid med Bridlington Town A.F.C
Det er ofte tilfeldigheter som åpner dørene for nye muligheter. I dette tilfellet en engelsk klubbeier som kjøpte sommerhus i Tvedestrand!
Bridlington Town sin eier/styreleder Dan Rogers tok over klubben sommeren 2024, og samme år ble den nest største klubben i byen, Bridlington Rovers, innlemmet i klubben. Samtidig ble det igangsatt en stor satsing på spillerutvikling/akademi. Klubben har nå 400 spillere i sitt akademi som har lag opp til U23, hvorav 30 internasjonale spillere. Allerede neste år skal akademiet ha flere hundre nye spilllere, hvorav 120 internasjonale spillere. De internasjonale spillerne er primært fra Karibien og USA.
Klubbeier Dan Rogers kom på uanmeldt besøk til vår daglige leder Asbjørn Sauesund i sommer. Han hadde akkurat kjøpt et sommerhus i Tvedestrand, og var nysgjerrig på hvordan vi drev vår klubb. Kontakten ble etablert og utviklet gjennom de neste månedene, og i helgen som var reiste en delegasjon fra Arendal over på besøk til Bridlington. Der ble vi imponert over satsingen klubben gjør. Et treningsanlegg med alle fasiliteter inkludert to kunstgressbaner og seks gressbaner var kanskje det som imponerte aller mest.... og flere baner er under planlegging!
Bridlington har ambisjoner for sine A-lag på både herre- og kvinnesiden. Herrene spiller i Northern Premier League Division One East, som er øverste regionale nivå. Spillerne er semi-profesjonelle. Kvinnelaget kom inn gjennom sammenslåingen med Bridlington Rovers, og klubben har også ønske om å profesjonalisere kvinnesatsingen de kommende årene.

Bridlington Town are delighted to announce the official twinning of our club with Norwegian third tier side, Arendal Fotball.
Dan Rogers, Chairman, said: One of the most crucial aspects of the pathways we have created for the young people of Bridlington through our partnerships with SFS and CYP is to find a platform for those that excel to grow beyond Bridlington Town and for us to provide real and genuine opportunities for those with the aptitude to progress into the professional game, simultaneously increasing our attractiveness for those considering football as a profession under the SFS scholarship programmes. Since we met the team at Arendal last year, we've been blown away by their forward thinking approach, world class facilities and professionalism. We look forward to welcoming them to Bridlington as they base themselves with us for their winter off-season and the creation of opportunities for our Scholars who prove themselves to train with their team, who knows we may even see a few Norwegian names on our team sheet in the coming weeks.

During our visits, we were particularly impressed by what has been achieved through the partnership between Bridlington Town, CYP and SFS, as well as the outstanding training facilities the club has developed. It is clear to us that Bridlington have chosen a direction that will lead to sporting success in the years ahead, and we look forward to contributing to making that vision a reality.
We are excited to base ourselves in Bridlington during our winter off-season and to build a long-term partnership that benefits both clubs, both on and off the pitch.
